Director of LABsters
The LABsters program is run by LGA’s Director of Instruction Tyler Roope. With help from coaches before and current mentors around him, Tyler has applied his knowledge in helping develop and grow the LABsters program.
His outgoing and positive attitude is contagious to all. Coach Tyler has a unique ability to connect with kids and instill lifelong lessons while teaching the game of golf. There is no short of fun when learning golf with Coach Tyler, with lots of smiles and laughs always being the priority.
Tyler is also an accomplished player himself having played at a national, collegiate, and professional level.
You can find Tyler teaching all levels of juniors this year from our Active Start level, spring/summer camps, Intro to Competition, Learn to Compete and Train to Compete levels.

Max
Cohen
LABsters Coach
One year into being with the LABster team, Coach Max has found a passion for teaching juniors. Max was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended Concordia University on a golf scholarship. He then turned pro and played professionally around the world. Having played highly competitive golf for 20 years, Max brings a unique experience of playing at golf’s highest levels. His understanding and knowledge of how to play the game can have a large impact on a junior’s development. Coach Max expresses a deep level of passion and care for all his students.

Cole
Briggs
LABsters Coach
Coach Cole joins the LABster team in a full-time role after assisting the program in 2021. Cole started playing golf at the age of 6 and competing at age 9. At 24, Cole has 3 years of Collegiate golf experience, including two Division Championships and 2 National Championships with the University of the Fraser Valley Men’s Golf Team.
Coach Cole brings an energy and passion to his coaching that radiates through the room. His ability to implement foundational golf movements through play and games is unique. Creating a connection with each junior that enters the LABster program is something that is cherished by Coach Cole. You can find Cole coaching in our Active Start program as well as our spring/summer camps.

Natalie
Goodall
Game Engineer
Natalie joins the LABsters team for the first time in 2022. Natalie is a Registered Early Childhood Educator having earned her degree in London, Ontario in 2017. Through her years Natalie has taught self-defence to kids and women. Currently, she is completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
Natalie has always had a passion for sport and coaching kids. Her enthusiasm and kind nature make the connection with kids easy. Natalie’s favourite quote is, “you will never regret being kind!”
We are excited to welcome Natalie to the team. You can find her coaching and running our game stations at the Active Start level and summer camps.
Ben
Whiton
Game Engineer
We are excited to welcome Coach Ben to the LABsters Team! Ben has been playing golf since he was 5 years old. Ben attended Walnut Grove Secondary School winning a provincial banner in golf his final year. Ben is currently going into his third year as a Cascade at the University of Fraser Valley. He is a two-time National Champion, nominee for UFV Cascades Freshman of the Year, PACWEST 1st Team All-Star and CCAA All-Canadian.
